We all know how important good sleep is. There are a million studies proving that proper sleep improves your life in immeasurable ways. It aids in beauty, concentration, focus and weight loss! I'm a firm believer in getting my 8-10 hours.
Early this morning I was awakened by a group of maniacal, pre-dawn chirping birds and I can't tell you how annoying that was. I'm a light sleeper so it doesn't take much to wake me and if I wake up before I complete my sleep cycle, my whole day is blown. Aaarrgh!
After burying my head under the pillows cut off my air supply, I remembered I had an ambient noise app on my iPod. I was saved! Or so I thought. After fumbling through my many app screens, I found the app I was thinking of but discovered that a recent update required me to pay for the premium version in order to use it at all. It was 5:46am and the birds were getting louder. Fail.
Enter Relax Melodies from Ipnos Soft. By some miracle I had downloaded this app and completely forgotten about it. (Not the first time by the way.) When I tell you this is one of the best ambient noise apps on the market--believe. It has 46 high quality ambient sounds with two binaural beat frequencies and allows you to custom mix your preferred sounds and save them for future use. It has a customizable sleep timer that slowly fades the sound away and an alarm feature that let's you wake up to a mix or sound of your choosing. I came up with a mix of rain, thunder and storm sounds that was perfect I tell ya, perfect! I popped that sucker into my sound dock, drowned out those damned birds and was fast asleep before I knew it. Nirvana...
